8. Chi Omega - Chi O has some really cool and pretty girls. They are definitely fun to be around and hang out with fun fraternities as well. However, they do have a few setbacks such as choosing to hang out with certain fraternities like KapSig when they could be hanging out with other ones. Also their Earl’s fundraiser, while definitely attracting a lot of people, probably didn’t help them much socially because so little food was given out for the money people spent.
9. Delta Zeta - In all honesty, DZ should be higher on this list. They have a really fun group of girls that know how to party. However, the houses that they choose to socialize with are what keeps them from reaching a higher ranking. They sometimes hang out with good houses which helps them a little, but other than that they only hang out with the mid-tier fraternities.
10. Alpha Delta Pi - Another fun house, like DZ, and they also have a pretty good spot on 18th being pretty much in the center of the UW Greek System making it easy for them to go to a lot of different houses. However, also like DZ, AXiD tends to hang out with a lot of the more mid-tier houses, and fall just behind DZ because they don’t have quite the same relationship with good houses.
11. Delta Gamma - Despite DG usually being a powerhouse at many schools, the same cannot be said for this chapter unfortunately. While they do have some pretty girls, they don’t have enough of a social relationship with enough of the fraternities to be higher on this list.
12. Phi Mu - This is the point in the list where the UW Greek System is different from other schools. From these houses down, although many of the girls in them are still fun, they seem like a better fit for dorms than actual sorority girls, and that is what they would most likely be at other schools (the same goes for the fraternities here). It’s houses like these that make the dorm life at UW so bad because anyone who wants to remotely have any fun just goes to the Greek System, even if they aren’t traditionally the Greek type. Long story short, these houses don’t really belong in this Greek System (or any Greek System). Their existence just harms the overall image of Greek life at UW. I’m not saying that these girls are bad people or that they don’t deserve to have fun, but I genuinely believe that if they went to the dorms it would not only help the UW Greek life image, but also the image of the dorms here. That being said, this house has a prime location nestled between PiKapps and Pi Phi, and across the street from Beta. However, they seem to not hang out with any of these houses despite their proximity, making them lower on this list.
13. Alpha Chi Omega - Another house with a prime location on 17th right next to Beta. A lot of the girls in this house use the location to their advantage and go to a lot of the big parties at UW, but they never really form relationships with the people at those houses, they just kind of show up. If they could start forming actual relationships with those people who are throwing the parties, their reputation would improve.
