Why are rush numbers down so much this year?
by: PnmBoth frats and sororities were struggling to get rushees and a lot dropped. Why is this? What does this mean? Are they trying to get the dorm experience or is Greek life dying?

All Sorority GPA is consistently higher than All Undergrad. I can’t link but you can look it up if you’re prepared to be wrong.
Sorority women at UW are not stupid even if you don’t agree with their social choices.

have you considered the fact that sorority women on average are in easier majors than the rest of undergrad who doesn’t join greek life because they have actual work to do

That’s 💯 a myth. I’m in engineering and know lots of others in various STEM majors. Not only do I date, party and drink, but I’m a junior with a 4.0. Not the only one either
People who pull the “ blah blah communication major” bs definitely don’t have the first clue about real sorority life and are relying on dated stereotypes.

greek life isn’t interesting to a lot of students as it’s controversial and the idea of dismantling greek life is becoming more popular. i don’t think they numbers will ever go up again, considering a lot of people choose uw for STEM, and greek life is littered with communication and business majors
