Dear PNMs, Please Read Before Pref

by: Srat Girl

Just a reminder for the girls:

As much as this process should be trusted… the Greek organization is flawed. There are complicated processes that work behind the scenes. Both on the individual chapter side and on the Panhellenic side, there are so many calculations and obstacles that may inhibit a house from inviting you back to the next round— it isn’t solely dependent on whether they like you or want you back. The system is far from perfect. Formal recruitment is an incredibly difficult process, especially as a PNM, who is literally trying to find themselves and a community willing to accept them in college. Regardless of how “successful” you are through recruitment, you are beautiful, worth it, and special in your own way. Rejection does not equate to failure or inadequacy. What chapter you end up in is not a testament to your character or what you have to offer. Do not put pressure on yourself to be perfect— no one is at this point in their lives. During this upcoming pref round, put your self-worth and growth first. Focus on the love for yourself and what you deserve. If you do that, I guarantee you’ll end up where you need to be, regardless of what chapter you join, or if you choose to join a chapter at all! Sending love!
