In case you didn’t get the memo, the University of Washington is located in the Pacific Northwest. The Pacific Northwest is literally as far as you can possibly be from the American South (while remaining in the USA), where “y’all” is used in regional vernacular.
In the Pacific Northwest, we don’t say “y’all,” because we are not in the South. So, when you say “y’all” on the UW Greekrank, it sounds like either (a) you are trying too hard to be inclusive by not saying “you guys,” despite using slang from an infamously intolerant region of the country, or (b) you heard someone say “y’all” on a TikTok and think that repeating it makes you sound more interesting. Based on the nature of this post (trying to start drama because you find the Greek community “dry af”), I would assume the latter.
However, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and would like to hear your thoughts on this matter. How’s that for drama, buddy?
