How to pick which house
by: Hopefully helpful
Honestly there are a few things that really helped me pick which house was for me:
- consider where you think you will grow and what qualities you see in the girls you talk to that you want to emulate. If you keep talking to women that you admire or see qualities you want to bring out in yourself, that’s a good thing
- where will you be most comfortable? Are these girls who make you feel seen and heard? Are they the kind of women you’d want in your corner when you’re going through a tough time?
- Another good way to help distinguish is which house you have the most rush crushes in. If most of your rush crushes are in one house, that’s a pretty good sign
- how do you feel when you leave a house/conversation? Maybe jot down some notes right after. If you feel energized, empowered, supported etc. and you really didn’t want the conversation to end that’s another good sign.
Overall there are so many cool houses and so many awesome people that it can be really hard to narrow down. While there may be many houses that you would be happy in, those are some things to consider when making your final decisions ^
these are going to be the pool of girls that you’re spending your college experience with - are they kind? Driven? Funny? It’s also super helpful to just ask them bluntly about the qualities that you value the most. If you care about academics ask them about what type of stuff the people in their house do, ask them what they love about their PC, why they chose their house (and so many more questions)
When you get your list for the day back, which house do you scan for first? One of the first indications that my house was right for me was that I always breathed a sigh of relief when I saw it’s name pop up. I didn’t realize I was holding my breath until I saw it
I really hope that helped, good luck!
