POLL: Drop or bottom tier house you don’t connect w
by: Hmm#1 by: FYI
I had SK/AOPi for pref, dropped, then COBed into a mid tier. Honestly though I really shouldn’t have dropped, my self esteem had just taken a hit from being on this site too much. I totally think I would’ve been just as happy in those houses as I am in mine now, and most girls who drop because their houses are “too bottom” don’t end up like I did. Houses in COB usually see right thru that stuff and don’t offer bids, which means you end up not in a house at all or having to rerush next year. I’d honestly say only like 15-25% of girls who drop for cob end up in a “higher tier” house than what they dropped during rush, if they get a house at all

Risk of dropping and doing COB is you miss out on all the activities at the very start of the school year. Lots of sisterhood and bonding events the first few weeks. I accepted a bid for a bottom tiered house and really glad I did. Being in a sorority my first year was huge. It helped me meet tons of new people right from the start.

genuine question, if a house dropped you during FFR, why would they take you during COB? because didn’t they think you would be a better fit elsewhere? so unless you drastically changed i don’t see how it makes sense, sorry i don’t really understand how houses pick which pnms they want back
