usually you don’t have as strict of quiet hours in the “day rooms” (where people keep their stuff outside of the sleeping porch) so that leads to TONS of late night bonding. best part of freshman year was being able to come back from going out at 1-2 in the morning (or later) and be loud in my day room w my friends. there’s also a lot of good things about sleeping porches — like if you’re on a bottom bunk you can put up blankets on all four sides of your bed and sleep in total darkness. rolling into your bunk drunk is super fun too and it’s really funny when people accidentally go into the wrong bed which happens every year. idk i can’t even imagine freshman year without the sleeping porch, it’s such an iconic part of the sorority experience and a great bonding experience

Theta basically has a porch they just don’t call it that but it’s only one. I takes to one theta and she said she wished they had porches bc she felt like her Pc would have been closer if they had them
