sororities cost

I’m trying to decide if I should rush this fall. are sororities rly super expensive? bc it looks like they are cheaper than a double in the newer dorms but I’m guessing there’s a lot of extra costs?

They are cheaper than the dorms, the only thing is most sororities close for small holidays or something and dorms stay open almost all the time. But like being in a house is worth every penny the dorms aint it sis

Dues/live in costs are anywhere from $3000 to $4500 per quarter depending on the house. Your first quarter will be the most expensive too cause of new member fees. The myth that it’s cheaper than the dorms is only really halfway true, it’s cheaper than expensive dorms like Maple or any west campus housing, but more expensive than the cheap dorms like McMahon. Overall living in a house is sooooo much better than the dorms and worth every penny tho

won’t name my house but I pay $1100 a month for a double room and 3 meals a day... plus all the perks and events from being in the house. Probably pay an additional $50 or so a month on shirts or other small things I have to buy for my house. pretty worth it imo.
