Question about Sororities
by: PnmI’m considering rushing this fall, but my only concern is I don’t drink and while I don’t mind being around people who do I don’t want it to be an every day occurrence. I have 2 sisters who both were in sororities At other schools, and they partied a lot. Is there any sororities here where there is a good amount of girls who don’t go out? I know no one will force me to drink but I don’t want to be judged for it either.

not drinking is a very valid choice that no one should judge you for!! but that being said, be prepared for situations where many people may choose to drink, like game days, gads/formals, etc. i know tons of girls who don’t drink on a regular basis, but also some who go out multiple times a week. i’m sure you’d make friends with girls who don’t party as much but just know that you will be around people who do.

i am in what us considered a “top” house, but i dont really think about us like that. there are girls who rarely go out or only once a week. while there are definitely girls in sororities who party a ton, the opposite is true too. i guarantee that every house has at least a few people who arent partiers. also, just because you go out with your friends doesnt mean you have to get drunk. you can have fun in a sorority while staying sober

Can we all stop saying that those houses don’t go out as much as everyone else when that isn’t true? Every house has girls who go out. ZTA isn’t even bottom anymore. I don’t know why people keep spreading false information.
