what is it like living in the sorority house?

by: Freshman

Future Uw Freshman that wants to rush! The only thing I am a little curious about is what living in the house is like? Especially since you have to do it for most of your time at UW. What are pros and cons of it? Overall do you enjoy it?

It varies wildly from house to house. Some you’re in a sleeping porch with your whole PC all year, some you move rooms every quarter and get to live with the PC above you for a quarter or two, but the specifics really vary in that respect. I know as an introvert it can be a little taxing at times (especially when school gets intense) but I would still never take back my decision to rush. If you’re more on the extroverted side you’ll love everything about it.

You’ll come to realize it doesn’t really matter if you’re on a porch or not. I think it’s one of the best aspects of UW sororities (were like one of 2 colleges that do it) because you get really close with everyone in your pc, and upperclassmen. It helps with having a strong sisterhood
