How do snap bids work? Which houses give them out and how many?

When a certain house does not meet quota during recruitment they hand out snap bids. Well you recieve it on bid day so you won't know whether you've been snap bidded or not. You can only get snap bids if all the pref houses didn't give you a bid. Usually it's a house you have been invited back to during round 3 but cut from round 4. You don't know which houses give them out, they're just houses that did not meet quota.

In order to be eligible for COB, you have to withdraw from recruitment before you sign your MRABA. If you sign MRABA, you cannot participate in COB and you will have to wait one calendar year to participate in recruitment whether it be formal or informal. COB is year round and there's chapters who are doing it right now. You most likely won't get into the houses located on 17th since they usually meet quota and they don't have to participate in COB unless many people drop out of that house.

No. You won't know which house snap bidded you and if you reject that house you cannot participate in COB throughout this year.
