how competitive is uw’s greek system?
by: dawgsIn comparison to previous years, rush this year felt insanely more competitive. At UW I know they factor in grades, money, and (of course) looks. It’s just wierd because people that were considered “popular” in high school were getting dropped by top tier houses. Pretty sure pc 19 broke the record for dropping rush this year. Anyone have an idea on what happened and why it was so competitive this year?

Most sororities here pride ourselves on having value based recruitment, meaning, it doesn’t matter how “cool” or “popular” you were In HS; what matters is how your values align with said House, and if you would get along with the girls in the house, and make a positive contribution. I know that many stereotypically “pretty, cool, rich,” etc. Girls were dropped from “top tier” sororities because their personalities And values did not align With the house’s. Times are changing
