17th street sororities

by:

I heard the 17th Street Sororities (Theta, GPhi, KD, and Pi Phi) only take the pretty skinny girls. Do they care about personality or anything else?

I'm a PNM too and most girls they take are skinny/pretty but I know pc12 have some big girls too so I'm guessing some of the sororities on 17th st are becoming more diverse? As a PNM, I'd suggest just worrying about conversing with the girls in those sororities so they come to like you for who you are! I wish you luck with rushing! (I would also have my mind open to the other sororities just so that you will atleast get into a good mid/mid-top/top house and those houses can either remain on top or become one of the best! That's what I'm going to do because I don't want to be that girl who doesn't recieve a bid on bid day since her 3 sorority choices were the top tier houses that did not prefer them over other PNMs). But good luck!

Being pretty, skinny, being a true freshman with freshman status, and an easy major like communications.

As someone who has already been through recruitment and ended up in a house on 17th... this whole post is actually kind of insulting. My favorite thing about the girls in my chapter is they're all driven, outgoing and absolutely hilarious. Focus on where you have the most fun and feel the most comfortable. Plus, if you honestly believe a chapter only recruits based on looks, why would you want to be there anyway? Looks, weight, all of it are going to change in your 4 years at UW. If that's all we cared about wouldn't we be kind of screwed?? Anyway, best of luck PNMs! And remember, don't believe everything you hear
