not sure about rushing?
by: hmmmmI am an upcoming freshman this year and I'm not sure if I want to rush due to the fact that I'm not very outgoing and it can sometimes be hard for me to be comfortable around people. Also, I have no desire to party lol. I would hate to regret not giving the greek life a chance, but I'm not sure if it would be right for me. Any encouragement would be great haha

Considering there are 18 chapters, you can't really go wrong. Some girls party, some don't - that goes for every house. In my opinion it would be better to go through recruitment and decide it's not for you, rather than thinking 'what if' for four years. Also, since rush is such a long process you actually get a good feel for the house you're joining. I can't imagine that you would end up feeling uncomfortable in a house that you chose to be at. I'm a senior in a sorority here at UW, and I rarely go out and party. Trust me, I'm not the only one. My house has girls who party a lot, girls who party maybe once a week, and some girls who party almost never. I would definitely encourage you to go through recruitment and see where you fit best. I truly believe there is a house for everyone. :)
