cob or formal as a transfer?
by: TransferringI’m transferring to UW for winter quarter and I want to join a sorority. I have sophomore standing and I’m nervous that I’ll get turned down a lot if I wait until the fall because of my age. I also want to visit all the houses but I feel like I should just do cob and work with the amount of houses there are.

I would do formal, I know a lot of girls who had sophomore standing and all of them made it into a house (just speaking for the girls I talked to) plus you get to see all of the houses, make friends during recruitment, and then really get to bond with your PC right out of the gate. COB is nice if you don't want to go through the stress of formal, but really it's one week of your life and then you're in a house with a bunch of new friends before school even starts.
