sorority rush talk
by: PnmDuring formal rush is it bad to bring up your current/ or old high school boyfriend when talking to a sorority member. Not like constantly talking about him but like casually mentioning him in convo once like saying “ oh ya I had a boyfriend but we had to break up this summer for school, etc” or like “ this summer I went on a few trips but when I was home I usually hung out with my friends and boyfriend”. Or is it better to just avoid bringing him up in general.

I can’t speak for all sorority girls, but I personally wouldn’t mind if you bring him up casually!! Whenever I talk to girls I always like when PNMs bring up their relationships with close friends and family, because it’s a good indicator of what your relationships would be if you were a part of our house. If a boyfriend happens to be in the mix then it’s no problem! Just don’t make the whole conversation about him. And if he does happen to be in a frat here I would avoid mentioning that too. Best of luck during rush!
