how important are recommendations for rush?

you are never guaranteed a bid. the only time you might be is if you are a legacy but that depends on national rules for each sorority. recs typically don’t mean much but it depends on the house you go to since each one has different requirements.
long story short don’t stress about recs and focus more on what you put into the info sections of recruitment registration. houses want people who are well rounded and having a single letter of rec won’t really change that.
