sorority life
by: questionsHi I am not worried about ratings, I would really just like to know what sorority life is like at the UW. At other schools it is a big part of campus life. Is it worth joining a sorority at UW?

Greek life is really dominant at UW. Kind of hard not to be with 18 sororities and an even larger number of frats. The Greek System doesn't have the best reputation among other students, but that's because it divides the campus. Whether or not you join a sorority kind of depends on the college experience you're looking for.

There are 18 sororities and 32 fraternities, so yes, it is pretty big. I would recommend going through recruitment. With 18 different houses, you are bound to find one that you can call your home :) All of the houses are different from each other, and even within certain houses you can find all kinds of different people.
