how to get a bid from pi phi

by:

A whole bunch of girls from my high school are pi phis. I really want to be one, I’m rushing next year. Any tips? If you have anything hateful, don’t waste your time please.

Or join a much better sorority. Pi phi has a terrible reputation, yes they’re known for being liked by guys but only for being easy and s lutty. Professionally, they fail at networking because they’re typically not friendly, very conceited, and no one after college wants to interact with them. Internally, I know a few girls that have dropped the house because they dreaded it so much, they said everyone is very catty, reputation crazed, party and boy crazy, and form lots of cliques inside their own house. Not to mention a few people were hospitalized this year from binge drinking possibly related to hazing.

Do yourself and others a favor and look into joining one of the sororities that are regarded highly at uw, some of the best being adpi, kappa, axo, dg, kd, chi o, and really any other sorority that you can see has taken charge with Panhellenic and the University. They push their girls to be the best they can be, and are supportive inside and out.

Pi phi is one of the best houses on campus and definitely top 5 in sisterhoods. During rush let your personality shine, be good at conversations, and try to stand out!! also keep in touch with your high school friends that are pi phis! good luck :)

Can confirm that nobody this year has been taken t the hospital due to drinking in pi phi. I’m sorry you feel so much hatred that you felt the need to write such a lengthy post, bashing pi phi. Embrace your own house, and find happiness there. Haha

It’s always amusing to see girls insecurities come out when anything about the top houses is mentioned. Poor girls

Honestly I can tell you from experience hanging out with pi phis, theyre super chill. They dont all party crazy all the time, and they all seem to genuinely like each other. Youre gonna find cliques in whatever sorority you end up in, so if you think pi phi is a good fit, dont let the insecure people on here change your mind. Theyre not a top house cause theyre catty bishes, onviously people in the greek system have to like them for them to hang out with the top frats all the time. Dont let labels and rumors make your decision!

Any house that has girls who know you from HS or your hometown is going to pretty much have their mind made up on you before you even hear your first door chant. Half of work week is considering every girl coming through and roughly sorting them based on their level of interest, meaning whether they can see you fitting in and would be proud to have you in their new PC.
If you have genuine friendships with those girls, then unless you have a terrible reputation, act arrogant, or pee yourself during a recruitment event, you will probably be OK. As far as Pi Phi, it's also going to help if you're reasonably attractive. If you don't really know those girls from your HS, you're going to need to shine.
But you need to show your best self at every house during recruitment, so good luck.
