cob preferences

I’m thinking of signing up for COB. I just want the honest truth so I don’t get my hopes up too high. Is it true that houses (esp the “good ones”) prefer girls with recommendations from actives over just random girls without any connections/friends already in a sorority? Like I know ZERO people in the Greek system... just want realistic answers.

in my house, you can’t COB here if you aren’t recommended by an active of the house. we only COB girls that are recommended

Absolutely true for a lot of the top houses! So yeah sorry chances are slim if you don’t know anyone in GS but the other houses that aren’t as great take anybody if I’m being honest

As a contrasting perspective, in my house having a recommendation will put you on the top of the list of people we'll contact. But if there aren't any recommendations, which happened to us last year, we'll just go through the COB profiles and reach out to random women that look cool. So it's not the end of the world if you don't know anyone!
