should i pledge
by: SunshineI am transferring to the UW and have always really wanted to join a sorority, but I will be turning 22 in the fall. Is that too old to pledge? Also will I have a harder time rushing and getting an invitation if I am over weight? I could really use an honest opinion.

No, not too old, but you will only get invites to one or two houses, if that. The rest won't consider you. I wouldn't rule it out but bear in mind that Greek life sorta sucks if you are a girl, especially older. Being late to rush as a male is not as bad since the house rules are not as strict and frags often expect to lose members after one or two years. (You would be 26 as a senior, which is almost unheard of, although I did know one back). I'd tell you to get an apartment with friends and just visit frats you come to like..
