I’m gonna disagree with some of what “honest” said. It’s true that some houses only COB girls they already know but for the majority that isn’t true. If you’re interested in a specific house that’s COBing definitely reach out to their recruitment chair bc houses love when girls show interest.

Remember that you’re choosing a home for the next few years so make sure that you’re being authentic so you find the best fit. Plus we can see through fake right away so it’ll backfire anyways.

Something my house always looks for is involvement on campus/leadership potential. So if you want to stand out find things you’re passionate about in your community so that you bring something to the table. Ie. If I’m talking to a girl and she tells me she goes home every weekend and isn’t involved at UW bc she’s just waiting to get in a sorority that doesn’t send a good message.
