If you want a traditional fraternity or sorrority experience. You should join a top or upper middle tier house. UW has a lot of houses but only the top 6-8 Frats and the top 3-5 sororities are really comparable to greek life at other bigger schools

true people, live your life no matter what house you are in. But this is true in a sense that our greek system is not very good in comparison to other big schools.

This is the most incorrect thing I've ever heard... first of all tiers only matter to 5% of the population, and it's usually people that are better off not in a house in the first place. Second, Greek life is different at every school, and it's great at UW. I know people that are friends in every house, houses that people who care about tiers would say "don't mix".
