Ideally tiers should change each year... and should definitely change every 4 years. At least amongst middle houses. If that's the case then why does no one here want to agree things might have changed? Why is kappa still so high? Why is dg still so high? Why is dz still so low? I'm
Not a dz just genuinely curious

frats tend to change a lot faster/more than sororities. Sororities are much more superficial about their reasons for joining and tend to be sorted by attractiveness every year

Think of the greek system as you would evolution. Over a year, you can't really see how houses have changed. But 5-10 years from now, I guarantee that things will be different. KD was considered #1 5 years ago and now they are solid middle. APhi was barely relevant 5 years ago. Things do change...but not just in a year.

KD was seriously #1? That's crazy

the tiers aren't changing because tiers only exist in the greek rank bubble which consist of the same few superficial popularity feening people. dz isn't going to be going on this website bragging about themselves and the odds of other people who are already obsessed with the website posting positive things about other sorority is slim., i've noticed the slight judgment among other houses (some not all), and it's funny. pledges who didn't already have misconceived perspectives on "top and low" houses had a completely different rush experience. and no one in dz actually cares if considered a top house? so yeah that's why there's no push to "move ranks". fine chilling in whatever imaginary slot greek rank has

Lmao kappa is not full of cool girls. Our frat hates exchanges with them because they suck so much. DG is fun though

It's funny that people refer to "cool, cute" girls that end up in "bottom" houses as "falling through the cracks." Just because she didn't end up where you think she should have, doesn't mean she didn't choose her house. I know plenty of amazing, hot af girls who love the bottom houses they are in and wouldn't have it any other way.

are you seriously trying to say that many of these bottom house girls dropped mid and upper tier houses during recruitment? A few, maybe, but I would love to see the stats on the number of PNMs who drop top houses in round 1 or 2. not many girls fresh out of HS are making a conscious choice to rush hard at the bottom. That's not to say that a lot of girls don't end up being very happy where they land, which is the whole point, but there are VERY FEW truly amazing, beautiful, smart girls who have a GOOD rush and end up pledging a bottom house totally by choice. They struggled with conversations, they have a bad rep, they are awkward AF, something doesn't quite conform to the expectations of a top or even middle house and that's why they "fall through the cracks" They may be very cool, but they didn't have a good rush if they're "amazing, hot af" and in one of those houses full of awkward girls who can't recruit to save their lives.

I appreciate your perspective and agree that ultimately, houses are just different and only subjectively better or worse, depending on point of view. Interesting your attitude toward rushees. I feel the same way, but I work hard to sincerely engage and "be nice" to all of them. Funny how that gets translated as fake when I'm nice and then we drop them. Wonder how many horribly awkward girls who rushed me just hated me for some superficial reason and weren't trying. Makes you think about how mid and bottom houses try to promote a rep of being "real" when sometimes I think it's just not giving a f--- about the process. The level of social awkwardness at some houses during recruitment is a huge part of the low tier reputation. More girls were mean and rude to me at bottom houses than at top ones.
