if I drop the frat I'm pledging right now, could I still rush other frats through the school year or next year?

Yes you can, as long as you haven't gone through initiation you can drop and rush again it's what I did. I highly recommend dropping if you are having any doubts about your current fraternity.

I wouldn't recommend dropping if you're having ANY doubts. you need to give yourself time to adjust and make connections and not just quit because you're homesick or something
