If you're a GDI guy, you literally have no options. No frat parties will let you in unless you're an athlete, or like super good friends with multiple of the guys in the house. Do yourself a favor and just join a frat.
For a girl, its possible but much harder still. Guys instantly will judge you when you say you're not in a house, its looked down upon/super lame not to be greek. You can't go to pre funks, and will rarely be asked on gads or formals. you can get into parties yes, but you will not have many means of communication to find out about them.
For guys, you can still rush. Look into it asap. For girls, COB is starting soon... hop on that! Look into emailing/texting recruitment chairs of different houses to set up a coffee date/get invited to a cob event. Look on the panhell website to find out more info, it'll also list the houses that are doing cob (which is most, most houses usually don't make total)
