why do people who aren't social join the gs?
by: Rush for a good timeI have never understood why people join our GS that never enjoyed partying in high school, it just does not make sense to me. If you join a social system where the majority of social interaction involves partying and that is against your moral code, why are you here? You're just getting in the way of other people's good time and taking up a bed in the house that could be filled with a more social person.

wait is this a joke? There is WAY more to the Greek system then just partying. In the long run, it matters for connections for internships and jobs. In the first year you're there, its for making new best friends at a huge school where its hard to meet people otherwise. And in the 4 years you're there, its for having genuine connections with people that share similar interests with you, for having people to soberly hang out with as well, for school help, etcetera. Yeah its also for getting LIT but that is only a side perk
