why do some houses care how rich you are?

I'm in a house and I can honestly tell you we never talk about or even try and figure how much money you have. None of my friends in other houses do either. I don't even know how we would be able to quantify how rich you are by talking to you for ten minutes lol so just don't worry about it no one cares :)

I guess it just means you can spend more money on cute clothes and fun trips with girls in your house. It means you can eat out in nice places and go out to bars as much as you want without having to worry about money. And usually rich people are able to be a little less disciplined with schoolwork and more social because they have their parents money to depend on. It's not a huge contributing factor during recruitment but you will notice that a few houses may have wealthier members in general
