all you need to know for sorority recruitment

Try to end up in one of these houses, avoid the rest, and you should be fine. Figure out which specific houses you like during recruitment based on your social interactions, not this site.
Houses that are definitely worth joining:
AXO ADPi ChiO DG GPhi Kappa KD
Houses that are most of the time worth joining:
AGD APhi AXiD DDD DZ PiPhi
The others aren't worth the trouble

Even if they supposedly have a good sisterhood, I regularly hear both guys and girls make fun of them (which is really rude I agree) so it's not a house I would personally recommend any of my friends join

If you receive a bid, you will have a new member period (length of time varies depending on sorority). If you decide either Greek Life isn't for you or you really don't want to be a member of the sorority you accepted a bid to, you can drop before initiation and will be eligible to go through recruitment again the next year. If you are initiated, you are a lifetime member and would not be eligible to ever join another sorority.
Please keep in mind that not every girl automatically loves her house and feels at "home" on bid day. For some (myself included) this takes a little more time to develop so be patient and really take the time to get to know the girls in your pledge class once recruitment is over since these are the girls you will be spending the next 4 years with.

this is honestly BS, like who do you think you are to tell people to avoid houses? All that will do is close PNMs minds and they could potentially end up in a house that they don't get along with just because this site tells them to "avoid" certain houses. Most of the houses not listed here are great choices too, there's no way to generalize 100+ girls like that

the only houses she didn't list are aephi, theta, phi mu, and zta which, to be honest, are not ideal options

People are going to be upset but the truth is the truth. Avoid sk, aopi, phi mu, aephi, and zta if you want to be in a respected sorority. That doesn't mean these houses don't have some great girls. They just are not really relevant or respected in UW's Greek community so it depends on what you want in a sorority

So true!!! They're not like the above houses socially bc they have a lot of individual friends in different frats but aren't close to frats as a whole house, which can be good if that's something you're fine with that. I hear they have a great sisterhood and I loooove their feeds
