a message to all incoming greeks

Think about the process you went through when deciding which college you wanted to attend. Did you get a tour, learn about what the campus emphasized, learn about its strengths and the atmosphere it provided? You probably thought about which school would help you the most when it comes time to take on the real world. Or did you go on stupid anonymous review websites like this to learn about which colleges were good or not?

Now apply that same thought process to which fraternity or sorority you want to join. You didn't pick UW because a bunch of people from your high school were already here. You didn't pick it because you know it throws the best parties or has the hottest girls or guys. You picked it because it was a great option for your academic career, your future and your growth as a person.

As a junior, I have met too many people in our community who have judged a house based on websites like these or false rumors and they completely regretted it. If I would have read some of the crap on this site before I rushed, I wouldn't have given my chapter a chance. And today I am so happy to say I love my house and all the guys in it. I already know which of them are gonna be in my wedding. Do me and our entire community a favor and close this website and never come back here.

Good luck during recruitment, and don't write any group off until you've at least given them a chance.

P.S. It's true, most Thetas are very stuck up. But at least I can say I gave them a chance lol
