what happened to kd?

First of all I'm just very curious (not trying to be mean at all) but what happened to KD? They used to be on par with Theta and Pi phi and recruit the same girls so why are they considered barely upper middle with like DG and Kappa?
I know they're all about recruiting the quirky girls who are kind of out there and wear head to toe urban outfitters but I don't think they've had to sacrifice in the looks department to do that? I guess they used to mix with Beta/Sigma Chi more and now their game is more Alpha Delts/Tekes but is that really the biggest difference? Their Senior PC is probably the hottest they have right now so they'll be leaving soon but I'm wondering what other people's thoughts are on why they've fallen

KD is still such a super cool house, I love them personally. But yes they are a solid middle tier like axo dg kinda level. They're nothing like theta pi phi or gphi anymore, it's super obvious. They recruit super quirky, unique, down to earth personalities, they pay ZERO attention to attractiveness which is amazing and I wish all houses could be as real as they are. Honestly they're some of the most genuine humans you'll ever meet.
