are bottom houses really more down to earth?
by: idki've heard people say that brotherhood/sisterhood gets closer as you move down the tiers and people in these houses are more down to earth... is this true or something they say to make themselves feel better about being bottom?

For frats, there are solid brotherhoods across all types of houses. For sororities, middle houses have the best sisterhoods, then top houses, then bottom. Bottom sororities have so much cattiness, I honestly believe girls in theta are much happier than girls at sigma kappa.

I agree with this original post; I know for a fact bullying has occurred in zta and aopi; idk about sk and Phi mu though

Personally, I don't think anyone can say one house can have a better sisterhood than another if they're not in it. At the end of the day, the type of experience you get is what you put into it. It's all subjective and you won't know until you truly experience it. It's subjective depending on who you talk to. It's not fair to any house if people are generalizing their sisterhood based on bits and pieces they hear. Base your judgment on YOUR experiences.

Bullying can occur in literally any house. It occurs in top houses and it occurs in bottom houses. It's not possible to make any generalizations at all. When you have 100+ women in one house, there's obviously going to be drama. I personally am in a bottom house and I've experienced nothing but a loving and supportive sisterhood, but I've known multiple people from top houses who have dropped because of the sisterhood, or lack thereof. It really depends on the house.

Dude, what? Have you met any Sigma kappas? How could you possibly know enough members and the dynamics of our friendship to say that we aren't happy? I am one, and I honestly say that I love the goofballs in my house, yes we can be awkward and nerdy but the women here are also hilarious and will not judge me for literally anything. During recruitment this was the only house that actually seemed interested when I talked about my research and to say that the girls here aren't happy is blatantly untrue. I make no judgements about other houses sisterhoods, but ours is unabashedly strong.
