i've been COBing with a few houses and went to an event and haven't heard back a few days later. does this mean it's a no or will they contact me saying i'm not invited back??

They won't contact you saying it's a no, but wait it out a bit. People are busy and it could take up to two weeks for a reply. Hang in there!
