can we be real...? it's the guys fault

Honestly, think about it... all this worry and pettiness about "rankings" and "tiers" would be nonexistent, if fraternity men treated the women of UW more equally.
Girls can be catty, yes. But they're all separated by house, they already live with their friends, so why do they care to argue with people they don't have to deal with?
It boils down to the other half of Greek life, the guys. Who do guys praise in the GS? Top houses, it's blatantly obvious. What girl wouldn't want to be swept off of her feet on every beta gad, pampered at a free 5 star hotel on the Fiji Vancouver formal, or drink ciroc on the zete, asig, sig ep, psi u boat formal.... etcetera.
But who do these men aim to exclusively take on their events? High ranked houses, because they care about the status of the girl they're bringing as a date, because UWs Greek system is that shallow. "Yeah dude, I'm bringing a theta to couve" it's for the bragging rights, it's for their own personal status, for the instagram.
When lambda has a choice between phi mu and Aphi for a prefunk, they're choosing Aphi. Is anyone surprised by this? Is anyone sickened and angered by why this is so "normal" and unsurprising to think about"
Because let's face it, guys control the social scene of the Greek system. It's not their fault, it's mostly since sororities can't throw prefunks, parties, ect, and gads are only 1-2 times a year and for a lot of houses must be sober.
Girls have to work to be included. It's unequal.

I have not read anything truer than this on this site. I am really disappointed by the shallowness of some of the fraternity men I have met at UW. Really let down by what I expected men in college to be versus what boys here really are like: Immature, judgmental, and status-driven

Thank you, this could not be more accurate wow. It's something I've never even thought about myself but it's so true. It isn't all men though, a lot are very inclusive. But it definitely is a majority of the guys that are judgy and too caught up in a girls house "status".
For instance...Fiji only serenades aphi theta phi phi and like gphi. Exclusive much?
I think guys can work towards helping the gs be a better place by being more inclusive to start off the new year. Prefunk with girls you don't normally prefunk with! Try to meet new houses! Who cares if you don't prefunk with a house you normally do, those girls will come hang out with you at your parties soon after. After you get to know different houses through prefunks, start asking new girls ok gads and formals, you'll make more friends, it'll be much more fun for everyone.
You'll also realize that some girls are 100 times prettier and nicer in houses that you consider "lower" tiered compared to top tiers. It's true.

I think from girls perspectives we can start denying repetitive prefunks and ask houses we don't normally hangout with to prefunk! But yeah it mostly lies with the guys. U know how many times a prefunk has been cancelled on our house? A lot...and it's always because their "first choice" pulled through and they would rather have that house there instead. It's hurtful and annoying...why can't you just make an effort to meet new people! It's literally just 30 mins to an hour, and then the real parties start afterwards.

lmfao it is not just men's fault. Women here treat the BEST looking houses and top frats with MUCH more respect and go there. They ignore everything to do with low tiers.
Have you seen how top houses can pull GAD dates like that? How top houses have girls RUNNING to go to their parties?
You can sit around and blame men but the root of the issue is two sided. Women want the hot top house guys and want to be popular.
