sophmore ffr

Can anyone explain the new sorority rules for rushing as a sophomore, and if most interested sophomores get placed in a house during FFR?

I don't know the exact rules yet but basically now there's a sophomore quota that each house will have to meet. In the past sophomores and freshman counted into the same quota and so houses were free to not accept any sophomores or only take 1 if they wanted to. This meant that often times sophomores were discriminated against when going through recruitment. The exact number will depend on how many sophomores go through FFR, how many freshman go through and how many drop etc but basically houses are required to take sophomores. This means that in general you should have equal chance as the freshman to find the best house for you!

It also could mean there'll be a slight advantage to sophomores especially this year because houses will panic and try to lock down any of the cool sophomores so they don't get stuck with weird ones since they have to take some and there's fewer to choose from. But that's just my prediction.

I'm a sophomore currently doing COB, but I'm also not opposed to doing FFR. However, I'll be a junior if I wait till then. Does this new quota apply to just sophomores or also juniors?

No it doesn't apply to juniors. I'd say if you can, just sign a house now during COB. Recruitment as a junior, while not impossible, is really rough and there are only a few houses that will take juniors.
