to anyone on here looking for cob information:

GreekRank is definitely not the most reliable website!! Keep checking the UW Panhellenic website. They have an entire page dedicated to Continuous Open Bidding and which houses are currently accepting Potential New Members. Also, keep in mind that
1) COB chairs in each house just switched, so if you contact a person in September, it won't be the same person you talk to in December. This can be a pro, if they didn't get back to you or you didn't leave the best impression, or a con if you really liked them but they didn't extend a bid.
2) The list of houses that are accepting COB PNMs changes EVERY QUARTER so keep checking the website!! This is where you will find the most relevant information.
I love hearing people express interest in joining the GS and I encourage everyone to go through it and keep an OPEN MIND, but also
-Please don't ask questions on here! It's frustrating to see wrong information passed around.
-It is beneficial for COB to know someone in the house so they can put in a good word for you to their COB chair.
-Don't be afraid of Formal Fall Recruitment (Rushing), either!! You really get a better sense of every house that way.

Also, don't give up!! It is worth the process, and all the COBs in my house have never regretted their decision. Just make sure your information is accurate, so you don't end up trying to contact a house that isn't even holding COB events. Be positive about every house that you visit, because if someone hears you mention that "X house sucks", but later try to rush that house, word travels fast.

I believe one of the reasons people come to tis site, is information on sororities can be difficult to obtain after FFR. Can someone email the panhellenic site with questions ?

For freshmen not getting a spot in COB, and rushing as a sophomore, what is the new quota, and do most sophomores rushing get placed in house? thank you for the information above
