frat rushing

Are any frats still rushing? I really dislike dorm life and wish I rushed instead.

Just wait until spring. Around March start texting rush chairs/people you know in frats. Just hang in there and join next year

Contact UW IFC. They can tell you who will conduct an informal or COB option. You may not need to wait, but there may be fewer choices. DU used to be good at offering alternative recruiting...not sure who does this now.

You might as well contact rush chairs and see. Worst you'll get is a wait until spring. Fraternity recruitment is exclusively informal and the term COB is mainly a sorority term. IFC has less governing over fraternity recruitment than Panhellenic over sorority, and there are no quotas with fraternities (max number of people you can sign) like there is with sororities, so houses can choose to recruit whoever and whenever they'd like. Most houses have a big fall and a smaller spring class, but some of the especially smaller houses will recruit all year long. Good luck!
