how much do legacies and lors matter??

Legacies matter somewhat, different chapters have different rules but it usually guarantees you'll be invited back to at least one round. In my house we have to keep all legacies to open house, and all double legacies to philanthropy. But I know other houses have to offer any legacies bid.
LOR don't matter at all, I had 3 going in from non-legacies and got dropped from all of those houses after the first round lol. My current house doesn't even talk about them, I think that's just a thing in the south.

double legacy is when you have two family members in the chapter, like a mom and sister.
