A little bit. Everyone says their lowest grades are during pledging. Especially for fraternities.

I joined greek life my sophomore year and I still managed to make the dean's list, it's all about budgeting time. if you're asking if its harder to get into a sorority/fraternity because you are a sophomore, I would say no. I haven't ever heard of an organization turning down someone because they're not a freshman. Just be yourself and you should be fine
