The TRUTH for all incoming freshman looking to rush:
Top: Pike/Dchi
Pike has been top for a while and I don't see them changing anytime soon. However they have gotten a lot less selective when it comes to handing out bids the past year or so because 2 years ago they lost about half of their fall pledge class during pledging due to hazing. They are however the best fraternity when it comes to sports.
Dchi are your typical deuchebags who party hard. They are known as the "tools" on campus. They have no mercy when it comes to girls, so if you have a girlfriend, don't let her go to dchi parties. They even bang each others girlfriends. They have a lot of internal problems as well as external, getting in trouble with their nationals multiple times. One more strike and they're kicked off campus, remember this while rushing.
Lower Top: TChi/Fiji
TChi- TChi used to be up there with Pike/Dchi, but they are slipping, hard. They got carried by older guys and now they are just full of middle eastern creepy guys. Tchi will be lower mid tier after this year is over.
Fiji- Fiji is very well on the come up. They formed a connection recruiting all kids from the same area (Fredricksburg) and now they basically dirty rush kids years in advance for anyone coming to vcu in that area. They will pass tchi this year. They are very social. However they also are known for giving bids to expelled brothers and brothers of other fraternities who have dropped which is a bad look.

Upper Mid: SigEp/AKL
SigEp: SigEp always has potential,they are the 2nd biggest on campus, recruiting hard every fall to get a good class. But, from what a former brother told me, they have some pretty strict rules when it comes to grades which some people see as good but others see as bad because some of the social members will get suspended and others expelled due to bad grades, limiting their social ability. They do however have one of the biggest party houses on campus and always have a good soccer team. If they fix the internal problems, they can make a push.
AKL- AKL is similar to SigEp just a lot smaller and not as good pledge classes. They have very social older guys who carry them HARD and once they graduate, AKL will have a very hard time socially. If they don't get a good class this fall, it could be very bad for them moving forward. However from what I've heard they do throw down pretty hard. They also have a couple good party houses close to campus which helps them throw down often.
Lower Mid: Phi Psi/SAE
To be honest, both of these fraternities aren't really relevant. They're pretty much the same, consisting of pretty weird guys who occasionally will get like 1-2 decent pledges but other then that they are a lost cause. Not to mention Phi Psi lost like half of there members due to a membership review.
