why VCU needs middle tier frats
by: oprt
over the last few years, we've seen the deparature of pretty much every single middle-ish tier frat at vcu except
AKL - kicked off in 2018
Phi Psi - suspended until 2024
Lambda - suspended until 2026
D Chi - permabanned for obvious reasons
This means right now at VCU we have a huge gap between the fraternities towards the top and those towards the bottom. when you have a difference in size, popularity, etc thats this obvious all the orgs more towrads the bottom look super unappealing for pnms coming in and will inevitably die out.... i wouldnt be surprised if we only have 5 fraternities left at VCU in a few years which isnt good for anyone , not even the better frats. competition is great for the growth of greek life and the middle tier frats did for the most part have guys that could have probably gotten a bid at any of the top frats so we had a good balance. now the only choice pnms have is pike/tchi/kappasig/fiji/kdr/pikapp and the bottom frats in which case they'll obviously go for the first ones.
pike/tchi/ksig/fiji/pikapp
kdr
huge gap
sigchi/tdx/sigep/pilam
does anyone agree with me and what do you think can be done to fix it?
