I'm a sophomore and I'm gonna rush in the fall, how much does GPA matter? or will being a sophomore separate me from freshemn and their incoming GPA'S?

As a college sophomore I think you need a college gpa of 2.75 to rush? Maybe it's a 2.5, not positive. This is what I know from IFC, have no clue if the CPC does it differently.
