aphi & axo
by: sophI really like Alpha Phi and AChiO, but I was unable to rush last year due to grades. I raised my gpa, but I'm going to be a sophomore and I heard these two don't really take sophs during formal recruitment. Do you know if either are doing fall rush? Thanks!

I don't think either are doing fall recruitment but I know for a fact that they do take a few sophomores during formal recruitment. A lot of times they don't take sophomores because those are usually girls that they dropped as freshmen, but since you weren't in that position, you're not at a huge disadvantage. Just be honest and be yourself. Hope that helps!

It's actually hard for sophomores to get in one from formal recruitment. Many sophomores didn't last year, and the 10 or so who did knew some girls really well or had perfect grades/involvement. Since you'll be there one year less, you really have to stand out.
I would recommend going for fall recruitment, depending on what sororities are participating. I'm not sure which ones are yet, though.

If you're pretty and have a decent personality, I think you should do formal recruitment. It's not like you were dropped as a freshman, so you should give it a shot because you still have a somewhat of a clean slate. The sororities doing fall recruitment are probably not going to be as good as aphi or axo. Plus it gives you more time to get some connections into the sororities.

thanks! i just feel that being a sophomore makes you be judged way harder, so i'll probably do fall anyways. i'm sure if i do end up in another sorority, i'll like it, i was just wishing for one of those two!
