greek life @ nova

by: Tbh

If you are in a top sorority or fraternity at villanova, you enjoy the party scene here or at least have fun. If you aren't in a fraternity and are a guy, you better hope your sport of choice is in to throwing down otherwise you will hate it here. If you aren't in a top sorority as a girl you will constantly be reminded of the fact and develop an inferiority complex. Villanova as a university is known for it's sense of community, while when you are here you realize that there is a huge sense of exclusivity here- not just in greek life but with clubs too (BlueKey, SpO...).
When people join these "top" organizations, especially greek life, they automatically see themselves as above others and become exclusive to eachother. This is the dynamic at Villanova. On tours they will tell you greek life is not a big deal here and the truth is if you want to go out it is a pretty big deal and that it is only small due to the fact of it's exclusivity and elitism.

You’re not wrong. It’s a “Villanova kid” problem, not just a greek problem. The elitist dynamic is present everywhere on campus
