dues
by: Hannah MontanaI want to rush but I’m not rich. Are there scholarships that sororities give or is there a way to afford them for those of us who cant afford it??? Is it worth even rushing if i cant afford the dues??

Honestly no there aren’t many options for rushing if you can’t afford it. I’m sure there is some back door aid but nothing people advertise. There are payment plans so you don’t have to pay everything upfront. It’s an expensive endeavor tho and it never really stops. Dues go down as you get older but you’re always gonna be paying something forward. Might not be worth it if you can’t commit to the money. I know that’s harsh but sororities can be super expensive right off the bat.

First semester you’re in it they can be anywhere from $500-$700 something dollars. They continuously go down and are about $100 when you’re abroad. The dues are so high in the beginning cause you’re paying nationals and new member dues. You put it forward tho. You’ll get showered in gifts and booze and then when you’re a sophomore you’ll do the same thing for the new members. It’s worth it.

there are payment plans to make it affordable and you can chunk up your payments. but remember its all going towards things you would noramlly have to pay individually for. it pays for tailgates, a lot of apparel, formals, boozze, youll get big/little gifts. and by the third semester they're like $200/300

During rush each sorority will have a time where they will discuss dues and let you know how much each semester will cost. Dues are different for every sorority, but each one offers payment plans to help you be able to pay your dues on time. I know dues can be a lot sometimes but for me at least its money well spent. My soroity gave me my best friends, unforgettable memories, and has made my whole experience at nova a thousand times better. I couldnt imagine my life not being in the sorority I am in. The money I spend on dues is the most valauble thing I have ever paid for in my life
