Recruitment starts the moment you set foot on campus. You are being watched and observed and evaluated and discussed wherever and whenever there are Greek members. That can't be helped. It's not dirty rushing to get to know people and hang out with them and invite them to things. A house telling you that they like you or they look forward to see you during recruitment or encouragement like that is not dirty rushing. It's only dirty if a house has some kind of event specifically for pnm's/rushees, or if you're specifically bid promised - like being told "you are going to get a bid" literally and exactly - or if you are pressured into verbally committing that you will definitely accept a bid from them during recruitment.

not unusual for freshman boys to sneak their way into fall rush but dont worry -at all- if that's not you. better to wait and get several bids then make an informed decision.

its a big no no if a girl gets dirty rushed. definitely not a thing. also the penalties for getting caught would NOT be worth the risk because you could probably never rush again/ be blacklisted from everywhere. nobody wants to get in trouble for this, especially the sororities, so they dont do it.
