not receiving a bid

nervous for rush as a freshman... how common is it not to get a bid?

I think bout half of the kids who rush don't get bids. You can rush again in the fall as a sophomore tho.

It's honestly not that big a deal if you don't get in, you'll be fine.

^ Not true at all, way more girls get bids. Very few people are dropped by every single sorority, so chances are high that you will get a bid, it just might not be the one that was your first choice, especially if you are trying to be top tier.

its highly likely you will get a bid to a sorority, but a lot of girls drop after their top choice drops them. a little over half of girls who rush end up accepting bids (note there is a difference between accepting and receiving). In reply to the previous post, you can rush as a sophomore but it is much harder. MOST sororities tae 2 or 3 sophomores, which is a small number. there are exceptions to this depending on the sorority and the year.
