legacies and letters of reccomendation
by: cunfusedHow important are legacies and letters of recommendation to sororities? Which sororities care the most and least about them? If I know a girl who would be a senior when I rush, could she get me in?

Legacies are important for certain organizations. Others could care less. Helps if your sister is currently in the chapter... you aren't guaranteed if you know someone. 1 person out of 150 means nothing when voting. Letters of rec can't hurt but a lot of sororities don't seem to honor them like schools in the south seem to. I would do it anyway but it isn't going to guarantee anything whatsoever. You gotta be you and that's what will dictate your placement.
