If on preference day you go to two parties, can you be dropped by both and end up not getting a bid?

I'm not positive, but I don't think so. If you do to two sororities on pref day and rank both sororities saying you would join either, I think you have to get a bid from one. However, if you suicide (go to two parties, but only rank that you would join one of the at the end of the day) you can end up not joining a sorority if you don't get a bid from that specific one.

It's rare but you can get dropped by both

It used to be a rule that if you didn't get a bid from either sorority your 1st pick had to take you but they changed that a few years back. Its 100% possible to not get a bid from either sorority.

Its very common and the girls should be made aware of this. The number of girls rushing FAR exceeds the available spots. so rediculas.

as long as you attend both pref parties and rank both chapters on your card, you SHOULD get a bid to one of them. You'll either be on their first choice list, and if you don't get a bid from either, you'll get added onto one of their "quota additions" list. a QA gets their bid like everyone else and never knows if they were a QA. they are just a part of the pledge class. a QA is not the same as a snap bid, SOMETIMES offered to girls who withdrew from recruitment by chapters who are under quota.
