fraternity rush

How hard will it be to get a bid at sig ep, sig nu, sig chi if I don't know any guys in them or only know a few guys in one?

doesn't really matter. Yeah the fraternity's have some kids already in mind but rush is still huge and plays a big role.

sig ep and sig chi are made up of mostly legacies, and kids from the same high schools, or friends/roommates with one of those two. sig ep has a lot of northeast and long island guys, while sig chi is more long island and jersey guys. there are occasionally rando's mixed in too though. phi sig has a lot of legacies too, but usually gets a wide range of guys and sig nu is usually pretty random. however if you make a good impression at rush events and the following parties you could end up anywhere. gl

Can you give a rundown of what to expect from rush and the process in general? Are there formal interviews and then parties at nights where you can bounce around from house to house?

Formal Rush:
1. Meet and Greets
2. Round Robins
3. Interviews

anyone can go to meet and greets and round robins, you have to be invited back for interviews and other events.

Obviously sig ep, sig chi, phi sig and sig nu are more selective than the other fraternities if you were interested in any of those
